Chiropractors must adapt in our new fast paced market. Having the knowledge to market successfully on the web is difficult because so many professionals have different opinions on how to succeed. That doesn't mean you have to spend a fortune or conduct hours and hours of research, you just have to know the basics.


Introduction
 
First, your printed medium shouldn't blend in to much with the rest of your competitors marketing. The colors should be subtle, yet vibrant, don't try to do to much with color, stay with a neutral color then accent with a nice healthy looking color. Layout and Design format should never be to busy, have a clear message, and don't try to say to much. You should have a brief description about what you do, and a clear message about why the person should call you. Sort of like a hook (Call to action), offer them something of value for free. People like getting things free. Be sure your offer is the first thing the eye see's first.  Remember with design white space is a good thing, and you don't have to fill up the page. Clean and simple, always remember LESS IS MORE!


Marketing on the Web (SEO):


Your website will need some major structural work for search engine optimization "SEO". You don't want to be passed the 3rd page "natural search results". Ignoring your websites natural search results position will result in missing out on tons of clicks. If you can reach the first page, your business would probably grow 10 fold. Websites that are on the first page are getting 80% to 90% more clicks than sites that are passed the 3rd page.. It's like having a billboard up in every corner of the city, and everyone that sees your billboard are people seeking help for your services. Google adwords is a quick and easy way to land on the first page without conducting seo on your site. It's even a good idea to have google adwords while you are working on the natural results for your site. 


The Basics of SEO

Having external links, quality content, and title tags is a good start to optimizing your website. Try linking your website from youtube, facebook, twitter, angieslist, dmoz.com, and any chiropractic association in your area. External links are like votes, the better the website the higher the vote. Most important SEO is basically like trying to prove to google that your website is relevant. You can also create a free advertisment on merchantcircle.com, google local, and yahoo local. You can also visit hubspot to learn more about link building

 

Your Sites Design

Website design is also key to your success. SEO is a great thing to implement, but one does not work without the other. Having a clean, easy to navigate, professionally designed website is one of the hardest marketing challenges for Chiropractors and even most small businesses. Determine a clear message and a clear offer. The offer should have a opt in form where you could collect the leads from that offer. The offer should be the most prominent element on the page, but not too overwhelming. Too much flash animation will cause to much loading time and will result in a negative user conversion rate. You need to go clean and clear. Your website and all other marketing should have the same colors used for branding purposes.


The price for taking action for all of my advice is nothing compared to the sales you are losing from ignoring it. Good luck!
